Our Mission

Golden-Stars Bison Enterprises strives to become a leading producer of selected top quality Wood Bison. We only breed pure Wood Bison to insure top quality stock and maintain a high standard of herd health.  Our herd is registered with the Canadian Bison Association as Foundation Stock.

By selecting for rate of growth, conformation and disposition, this ensures genetic ability of high performance in all aspects of the industry.

Our goals at Golden-Stars Bison Enterprises are being realized by letting this great opportunity of raising Wood Bison work for us.

Company Profile

The St. Laurent family has been in the farming business for 36 years, and diversified with Wood Bison in the spring of 1996.  Our most recent breeding Wood Bison Bulls were purchased from Elk Island National Park in 1999.

We have a herd of healthy mature animals, mostly females that are expecting calves in the spring of 2011. We average around 25 calves which are available for sale to be delivered the following Spring.

We are proud members of the Canadian Bison Association as well as the Peace Country Bison Association.
