Our Handling SystemWe have an efficient and safe handling system that was newly built in the summer of 1998. It was designed with lots of planning and ideas from other facilities. In 2001 we modified the alleys to allow us to move the herd more efficiently and safely. From a holding pen of 70' x 300', where feed and water are supplied, gates are then opened that lead the bison into a long alleyway where separation of smaller groups are done, before the full tub, squeeze and weigh scale take place. Walk ways are set all around the system to make it easier and safer for anyone to handle the bison.
